Characters
With my animation background, I know what is required for an industry design pak- rotations of characters, facial expressions etc,
all the visual information required to pass along to a production team.
Here you see work for two very different projects- the human characters were developed as COMMEDIA del ARTE types- and students chose which characters they wanted to use for the production of two 3D short films.
THE JAZZ BEARS was a proposed feature film project- bears of different colours represented real jazz musicians of the past; do you recognize Louis Armstrong here?
( I certainly did my homework with those musical instruments! )
Being familiar with animation is a definite bonus; it lends characters a special ‘snap’- they cannot be static, even when presented in a single illustration!
